Fresh Meatball Bake





If you don’t like Italian food, you are missing out. It is my go to comfort food, my go to on an easy night, and there are so many delicious recipes in this genre you just can’t go wrong.


What you need: 1 lb of turkey

1 case of spicy ground sausage

1 egg

1 cup of panko bread crumbs

1 cup of parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of onion powder

1 teaspoon of red chili flakes

1 table spoon of Italian seasoning

3 cloves of fresh garlic

1 jar of Roa’s Marinara Sauce

1 onion chopped

1 box of mushrooms sliced

Olive oil


Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 Degrees

Combine meat, 1/2 of bread crumbs, egg, and seasoning into a mixing bowl and mix evenly

Roll the meat into evenly sized medium meatballs and place on parchment paper and cook for 10 minutes in the oven

Add olive oil to a pan, and combine onions, mushrooms and 3 cloves of minced garlic in a cast iron skillet and cook until the onions begin to reduce

Add meatballs to the skillet, and the sauce and simmer on low for 20 minutes, topping with the rest of the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese
